Community rules
Last updated October 22, 2026
Prime Cut Club is for one thing: what you bought, what you paid, and how you cooked it. These rules keep it useful and friendly. They’re short on purpose.
Post what you actually saw
- Prices should be real: the cut, the price, the unit, the store and the day you saw it. If it was a sale or a one-off, say so.
- Photos should be your own. Don’t post pictures of other people without their okay.
- Say what went wrong too. That’s the useful part.
Be decent
- Argue about the cooking, not the person. No insults, harassment, threats or slurs.
- Don’t share anyone’s personal details: addresses, phone numbers, where they work.
- Keep it about meat. Off-topic arguments, politics and pile-ons get removed.
No selling or advertising
- No links to shops, promo codes, phone numbers or “message me” offers. Butchers and shop owners are welcome to talk shop, just not to advertise.
- Don’t offer to sell or trade meat here. In many places it’s also illegal to sell meat outside an inspected business.
Food safety
Share temperatures and methods honestly. Member advice isn’t a food-safety guarantee. Check safe cooking temperatures yourself. We may remove advice that’s clearly dangerous.
How moderation works
- New posts get a quick automatic check. If something looks like spam or contact details, it is held for a person to look at. Photos from brand-new accounts may also wait for a quick look. Nothing is removed automatically.
- Use the Report button when something breaks these rules. Reports go to the moderators. The person isn’t told who reported, and a pile of reports never punishes anyone on its own.
- A moderator can hold or remove a post or comment, warn a member, limit what an account can do for a while, or, for serious or repeated problems, ban it. Only a person can ban.
- Every decision is recorded with a reason, and you can see the reason for decisions about your own content.
Appeals
If a moderator holds or removes something of yours, limits your account or bans it, you can appeal once from your notifications. A different moderator reviews it, and you’ll hear the outcome. If you can’t sign in, email hello@primecutclub.com.
